Nepal is a paradise for bird lovers with over 848 species (almost 8 % of the world total) of birds, and among them almost 500 species are found in Nepal. The most popular bird watching spots in Katmandu are Pulchoki, Nagarjun and Taudaha. One can bird watching at Chitwan national park, Koshi tappu and so on combining the trip with jungle wildlife activities. Every Year migratory birds from Tibet, Siberia and the northern mountains fly to the lowlands and Terai of Nepal. Bird watching is a very pleasant experience during late autumn and early spring when the migration occurs. Other parks and reserves in Nepal also attract more birds and birdwatcher.
