 Dhaulagiri Fixed Departure - Nepal

Dhaulagiri: this remote and challenging trek for the more adventurous walker circles Dhaulagiri, the seventh highest mountain in the world. Its name means "white Mountain": towering in solitary splendour, this magnificent peak rises as a giant shoulder of shining ice and snow. Dhaulagiri is rarely visited and the valleys and villages surrounding it are unspoiled and unchanged .Our trek takes us across the kali Gandaki River and then north into the heart of the massif; from the base camp we come to the high point of our trek, the traverse of French Pass(5,360 m), the hidden Valley and Dhampus Pass (5182 m), a high level; route which brings us back to the upper Kali Gandaki Valley in Jomsom. From here we, either, fly back to Kathmandu via Pokhara or we can continue from Jomsom till Birerthanti or to Pokhara.

Scheduled itinerary:
Day 01.
 

Arrival in Kathmandu: Transfer to hotel for check in and briefing on the trip. An introductory sightseeing trip to downtown Kathmandu or explore around hotel depending on your flight arrival.

Day 02.
 

Kathmandu: Guided sightseeing covering all the major sightseeing points in and around Kathmandu, covering the prominent landmarks such as: Soyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan, Kumari (the living goddess) Temple and Durbar Square Kathmandu.

Day 03. Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m): By bus.
Day 04. Pokhara to Beni Bazaar (830m): By bus.
Day 05. Beni Bazaar to Babichaur (976m): Trek.
Day 06. Babichaur to Dharapani (1560m): Trek.
Day 07. Dharapani to Muri (1720m): Trek.
Day 08. Muri to Boghara (2080m): Trek.
Day 09. Boghara to Dovan Kharka (2520m): Trek.
Day 10. Dovan Kharka to Chaur Bag Khola (3445m): Trek.
Day 11. Chaur Bag Khola to Glacier Camp: Trek.
Day 12. Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4748m): Trek.
Day 13. Dhaulagiri Base Camp to French Col (5360m) and Hidden Valley (5140m): Trek.
Day 14. Hidden Valley camp: Rest or explore the surrounding peaks.
Day 15. Hidden Valley to Dhampus Pass (5244m) and Yak Kharka (4930m): Trek.
Day 16. Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2720m): Trek.
Day 17. Jomsom to Pokhara: By flight. Check in hotel. 
Day 18. Pokhara: Rest and sightseeing.
Day 19. Pokhara to Kathmandu: By bus or flight. Check in hotel.
Day 20.
 

Kathmandu: After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur. Return to hotel for refreshment. Evening, sightseeing and shopping around downtown Kathmandu and Thamel Street.

Day 21. Transfer to airport: Departure from Kathmandu or make extension as per your time-frame.
