 Mt. Everest Base Camp Instant Departure - Nepal

Mt. Everest (Khumbu) Region (Sagarmatha National Park), Sagarmatha National Park lies in the northeastern part of Nepal covering the Khumbu region. The Park was gazetted on 19 July 1976 with an area of 1,148 square kilometers that includes the world's highest peak of Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha). The high mountain peaks of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Khang, Khangtega, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kwangde and Pumori enclose the park boundary. About 3,500 Sherpa People resides in various settlements within the park boundary. The Sherpa people originated in the eastern Tibetan Province of Kham, some 2,000 kilometers away from the present homeland. The Sherpa people follow the Nying-mapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Since 1950s, the region is attracting large number of tourist as climbers and trekkers. The Sherpas are also well known climbers.

Scheduled itinerary:
Day 01.
 

Arrival in Kathmandu: Transfer to hotel for check in and briefing on the trip. An introductory sightseeing trip to downtown Kathmandu or explore around hotel depending on your flight arrival.

Day 02.
 

Kathmandu: Guided sightseeing covering all the major sightseeing points in and around Kathmandu, covering the prominent landmarks such as: Soyambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan, Kumari (the living goddess) Temple and Durbar Square Kathmandu.

Day 03.

 
Kathmandu to Lukla(2800m) to Phakding(2600m): After breakfast, transfer to domestic terminal of Kathmandu Airport for the 45-minute flight to Lukla, landing on the STOL runway in the heart Lukla Village, the gateway to Mt. Everest Region. Meet our porters and supporting field staffs. After lunch, proceed to Phakding Village for overnight accommodation. Trek 2 to 3 hours.
Day 04.

 
Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3446m): Full day, trekking through pine forest along with Bhote Koshi River. An easy walk up to Monjo Check Post, the entrance to the Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park. After lunch, steep climb to Namche Bazaar for overnight accommodation. Trek 4 to 5hours.
Day 05.
 
Namche Bazaar: Full day rest or sightseeing in and around Namche Bazaar, acclimatizing to the new altitude before attempting higher destinations of the trekking course. Acclimatization.
Day 06.
 
Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche Monastery(3870m): An easy walk to Somare, the gradual down to Phungitenga for lunch break. After lunch about an hour steep climb, then gradual uphill trek to the famous Tyangboche Monastery. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 07.

 
Tyangboche Monastery to Pheriche(4242m): Proceed to Pangboche Village(3901m) for lunch break in the witness of Mt. Ama Dablam, where there is the oldest monastery in the Khumbu. After lunch, trek to Pheriche for overnight accommodation enjoying the panoramic sceneries of high mountains. Trek 5 to 6 hours.
Day 08.

 
Pheriche to Laboche(4930m): Today, we follow the Khumbu Valley via the tiny settlement of Dugla and a memorial to those Sherpas who have died in the region in the course of climbing expeditions to Mt. Everest. Following the west bank of Khumbu Glacier, we reach Lobuche for overnight accommodation. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 09.
 
Laboche to Gorakshep(5170m): Following the rocky trail through Khumbu Glacier, we arrive Gorakshep for lunch break. The route offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Mt. Pumori and Nuptse. After lunch rest or explore around the camp. Trek 3 to 4 hours.
Day 10.
 
Gorakshep to Mt. Everest Basecamp(5360m) and Gorakshep: The final approach. An excursion to the Mt. Everest Basecamp having packed lunch and return to Gorakshep for overnight accommodation. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 11.

 
Gorakshep to Kalapathar(5545m) - Laboche: An early morning climb to the peak of Kalapathar for sunrise and panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. The Kalapathar is the best natural tower to view Mt. Everest at its best. Return to Gorakshep for breakfast and rest. After lunch, proceed to Lobuche for overnight accommodation. Trek: 5 to 6 hours.
Day 12.
 
Laboche to Pangboche via Dingboche: An easy trek to Pangboche enjoying the sunset view of Mt. Ama Dablam, continuing gradual descent to Dingboche Village, then an easy walk to Pangboche. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 13.
 
Pangboche to Khumzung Village: Gradual descent to Deuche, then about 30 minutes uphill trek to Tyangboche Monastery for lunch break. After lunch steep descent to Phungitenga Riverside, then steep uphill trek Khumzung. Explore around Khumzung Village. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 14.

 
Khumzung to Phakding via Namche Bazaar: After a short uphill trek (having a brief coffee break at hotel Everest View admiring Mt. Everest at its best. The hotel is one of the highest situated hotels in the world) steep downhill trek to Namche Bazaar for lunch break. After lunch, gradual downhill trek to Phakding. Trek 6 to 7 hours.
Day 15. Phakding to Lukla: An easy walk to Ghat village, then gradual uphill trek to Lukla Airport. Trek 5 to 6 hours.
Day 16. Lukla to Kathmandu: After breakfast, transfer to Lukla Airport for early morning flight to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. Rest.
Day 17.
 

Kathmandu: After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur. Return to hotel for refreshment. Evening, sightseeing and shopping around downtown Kathmandu and Thamel Street.

Day 18. Transfer to airport. Departure from Kathmandu or make extension as per your time-frame.
