Peak Climbing - Nepal

For
amateur climbers and people having limited timeframe
to full fill the dream of climbing a snowcapped peak in
Nepal, the trekking peak climbing is an option instead
of undertaking major time consuming climbing
expedition. Since 1978, Nepal Mountaineering
Association (NMA) has the right to issue permits for the
peaks classified as Trekking Peaks. Along with normal
trekking permit, climbers must obtain climbing permit
from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) through
Abound Asian Adventures. Climbing permit for trekking
peaks can be obtained at a short time but it would be
much convenient and suggestible to obtain such permits
in advance by sending your passport details to us and we
will get permit for you along with your trekking
arrangement. All our trip to trekking peaks are
supported by well trained and license holder Sherpa
guides, field staff and proper camping gears at our
risk. |
| Climbing Gears |
|
climbing gears can be
bought or rented in Kathmandu. Our climbing guide will
assist you to select proper climbing gears in case you
don't have your own gears. In such case, if request is
made in advance, we will include the climbing gears in
our package (at extra payable) while providing other
supporting package like climbing permit, food,
transportations to and from the trek starting and ending
points, experienced and trained guides (trained by Nepal
Mountaineering Association), porters, insurance coverage
for our staff including porters. The basic knowledge of
altitude sickness is suggestible before attempting a
peak and pre-caution is a must for amateur climbers
along with your personal insurance coverage to deal with
emergency rescue by helicopter in case of unpleasant
encounter during a climbing course. It is also
suggestible to have Oxygen-set or Gamov Bag in case of
emergency. The fatal sickness, also 'known as Acute
Mountain Sickness (AMS)
is a danger for climbers ascending 3,000 meters and
above. Symptoms include headache, loss of appetite and
sleeplessness. Immediate descent or evacuation to tower
altitude is the best cure. |
