Departure -
Nepal
|
Rolwaling Valley. Rolwaling Valley, the native
birthplace of most of the world renown young Sherpa
climbers. The trek to Tashi (Tesi) Lapcha Pass starts from
Dolkha Bazaar next to the Charikot Bazaar. Trekking
throughout beautiful landscape and the typical Sherpa
villages, trekkers arrive the famous glacier lake Tso
Rolpa Tal within a week from Dolkha Bazaar. Before
attempting to cross the Tashi (Tesi) Lapcha Pass (5755m), it is
advisable to have a day rest for a
proper acclimatization and warm up. It is one of the
tough and challenging passes in the great Himalayan
Region of Nepal due to avalanche and loose rocks falling
from the top of surrounding mountains. So pre-caution to
be taken to avoid unpleasant encounters while crossing
the pass from Tal to Ngole and then Thame. The famous
and world record holder Mr. Appa Sherpa is from the
Village. From Na, interested trekkers may climb the
Pachermo peak (6187m) but permit should be obtain in
advance in Kathmandu before starting a trekking course
to the region. After crossing the Tashi Lapcha pass, the
trek enters Mt. Everest Region, the Sagarmatha National
Park. |
