Thai Visa - Thailand
|
This type of visa will
be issued to applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom for
tourism purposes. You are not allowed to work or conduct
business with a tourist visa. A tourist visa is valid
for 60 days and can be extended 30 days at the nearest
Immigration office. |
Requirements for foreigners applying for a visa:
A. Nationals of countries specified by the
Ministry and approved by the cabinet. The nationality
must be the same as the country issuing the passport .
B. Entering Thailand as tourists for 15 days.
C. 1 passport picture 4x6 cm, not more than 6 months
old.
D. No blacklisted person (persona non grata) according
to the immigration laws.
E. Confirmed onward or return ticket within 15 days.
F. Indication of actual address of residence in
Thailand.
G. Cash of at least 10,000.- Baht (US$ 250.-) per person
or 20,000.- Baht (US$ 500.- per family).
H. Valid passport with validity of at least 6 months

Application for visa on arrival:
A. Arriving passengers wishing to apply for a visa
on arrival must fill in the application form (TM. 88)
which is available at the Visa on arrival counter in
terminals 1 and 2 at Bangkok International Airport.
B. The form TM. 88 (formerly TR 15) together with the
application fee of 1,000.- Baht must be handed in at the
Visa on arrival counter. The fee is payable in Thai Baht
only. Currency exchange service is available at the bank
counters near the Visa on arrival counters. |

Extension:
Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change
their status of visa must file an application for
permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located
on Soi Suan Plu, off South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120,
Thailand , Tel (662) 287-3101-10. The extension of stay
as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely
at the discretion of the Immigration officer. |
